Three firms advise on Iguatemi’s acquisition of shopping centers
Lacaz Martins, Pereira Neto, Gurevich & Schoueri; Eskenazi Pernidji Advogados and Machado Meyer Advogados, advised on the transaction in which Iguatemi acquired the participation of BRASC Shopping Centers, BRASC Higi Shopping Centers, BBH Higienópolis, BPY Higi Participações and BPY Higi Empreendimentos, of 50.1% in Shopping Pátio Higienópolis, 60% in Shopping Pátio Paulista and 44.16% in the expansion of Shopping Pátio Paulista. The closing of the transaction is subject to the usual conditions precedent for this type of transaction.
The transaction amounted to R$ 2,585,119,000.00. This transaction successfully concludes the funds’ divestment strategy and for Iguatemi represents the consolidation of its leadership position in São Paulo.
