Three law firms advise on Norte Saneamento and CSS transactions
Figueira Bertoni advised Norte Saneamento and Centro Sul Saneamento (CSS) in raising financing to acquire 8 basic sanitation concession assets from Iguá Saneamento.
The transaction value was BRL 375 million.
The financing structure followed the concept of project financing, with the assets themselves generating revenue to pay off the debt. The funds were raised by Bocaina Capital, who invested in two debenture issues, one by Norte Saneamento (BRL 92 million) and the other by Centro Sul Concessões, a company controlled by Norte Saneamento (BRL 283 million).
