Three law firms act in CLI’s acquisition of Elevações Portuárias

Machado Meyer, Mattos Filho and Lefosse acted in the acquisition of Elevações Portuárias by CLI.

Machado Meyer advised Corredor Logística e Infraestrutura – CLI, a port operator controlled by the fund manager IG4 Capital, on the acquisition of 80% of the shares issues by Elevações Portuárias, a lessee of the port terminals T16 and T19, located in the Port of Santos, SP, and on the negotiation of the main operational/commercial agreements between Elevações Portuárias e Rumo, which shall be in force after closing of the transaction.

The transaction value was BRL 1.4 billion.

Machado Meyer relied on partner Mauro Penteado (pictured left), Rafael Arsie Contin and Celso Costa. Lawyers Afonso Augusto Bersan de Andrade, Carlos Pacheco Fernandes, Gabriel Rapoport Furtado, Isabella Caroline Cristino, Antonio Paulo Kubli Vieira, Stephanie Sartori Gennari were also involved.

Lefosse represented MIP V Holdings II, LLC (investor in CLI and affiliate of Macquarie Asset Management) and relied on partners Luiz Octavio Lopes, (pictured center) Rodrigo Cunha, Ricardo Bolan, Eduardo Carvalhaes and José Carlos Berardo; counsel Leonardo Batista; associates Carolina Lamare, Karen Coutinho, Alexandre Barbosa, Daniela Bezerra were also involved.

Mattos Filho advised Rumo e Elevações Portuárias and relied on partners Marcelo G Ricupero (pictured right) e Alexandre Sales Cabral Arlota, associates Camila Spadoni Mahfuz, Pedro Katz, Juliana Katsue Motinaga Sato, Vitoria Teixeira Lopes da Silva and Rana Bakri.
