TingleMerrett and MBPartners represent Lion Critical Elements on Argentine lithium deal

TingleMerrett (Canada) and MBPartners Abogados (Argentina) have advised Lion Critical Elements on its acquisition of a controlling stake in Pampa Litio, an Argentine lithium exploration company.

Lion Critical Elements completed the transaction through its subsidiary, LFP Resources, acquiring 75% of the share capital and voting rights of Pampa Litio from Minera El Totoral, subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions precedent.

Pampa Litio holds a portfolio of lithium projects across Argentina, including the El Totoral and León Herido projects in the Province of San Luis, covering approximately 10,000 and 9,500 hectares, respectively. Its assets also include the Novillo Negro project, comprising 8,500 hectares in the Province of Río Negro, and the San Martín project, spanning 6,400 hectares in San Luis.

The transaction underscores Lion Critical Elements’ strategy to expand its footprint in South America’s lithium sector, particularly in Argentina, one of the world’s key jurisdictions for lithium resources.
