Toledo Marchetti assists Mosaic Fertilizantes in implementing new plant
Toledo Marchetti Advogados assisted Mosaic Fertilizantes, one of the largest companies in the production and marketing of combined phosphate and potassium, in negotiating agreements for the construction of a new blending, storage, and distribution unit in Palmeirante (TO), as well as in a long-term railway transportation agreement.
The project will be located within the Palmeirante Integrator Terminal (TIPA), which has a direct railway connection to the Port of Itaqui (MA), where imported raw materials for fertilizer production will arrive. Mosaic Fertilizantes will invest R$ 400 million in this new unit, with a production capacity of 500,000 tons, potentially reaching an annual production of one million tons by 2028. Additionally, the facility will have a warehouse for up to 100,000 tons of fertilizers. The project will employ around 200 people during its operational phase.
This investment reinforces Mosaic Fertilizantes’ commitment to strategic growth and strengthening its presence in Brazil, focusing on the MATOPIBA region.
