TozziniFreire advises Gaia and Campo Rico on debentures issuance

TozziniFreire has counselled Gaia on securitization backed by Campo Rico

TozziniFreire Advogados advised on an offering involved the issuance of Agribusiness Receivables Certificates (CRA) by Gaia, a securitization company, backed by debentures issued by Campo Rico. The amount of the operation goes up to $7 million.

Campo Rico arrived in late 2013/early 2014 as a solution for the Brazilian fertilizer sector, which was experiencing very rapid consolidation of the fertilizer distribution segment. And in front of the need of large producers and re-sellers to have a large-scale, low-cost supplier of top quality fertilizers in the market.

The issuance involved only one series. The maturity date of the CRA is March 31st, 2021, and on this date, the amortization will be paid in a single tranche.
