TozziniFreire Advogados adds two new partners

TozziniFreire Advogados announced two new partners: Cristina Rangel Maciel (pictured right) and Rodrigo de Grandis (pictured left), who join the mergers & acquisitions and white-collar crimes teams, respectively.

With 15 years of experience, Cristina has a solid background in complex corporate transactions of all kinds. And Rodrigo has 20 years of experience as Federal Prosecutor, having worked predominantly on cases involving crimes against the Brazilian financial system and money laundering.

Cristina Rangel Maciel – Corporate and M&A: holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). She has 15 years of experience as a Corporate lawyer at Mattos Filho. She worked as a Foreign Associate at Davis Polk (2017-2018). She has participated in transactions of all types involving publicly-held companies, privately-held corporations, corporate reorganizations, JVs and several other types of work.

Rodrigo de Grandis – Criminal: holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in Criminal Law from the Law School of the University of São Paulo. Post-graduate degree in Criminal Law from the University of Salamanca-Spain. Federal Prosecutor since 2004, with a predominant role in crimes against the national financial system and laundering of illicit assets. Member of the anti-cartel group of the São Paulo Federal Prosecutor’s Office. Prosecutor of Justice (São Paulo State Public Prosecutor’s Office) in 2003.
