TozziniFreire Advogados announces new partners in its M&A practice
TozziniFreire announced the entry of new partners to strengthen the firm’s performance in the area and improve its ability to attract new business
João Ribeiro da Costa (pictured left) and Oswaldo Dalla Torre (pictured right) are the newest partners in the M&A area of TozziniFreire Advogados.
João Ribeiro da Costa will focus his activities in M&A and energy matters. He holds a degree from the Law School of Universidade Nova de Lisboa, a post-graduate degree in Pharmaceutical and Medical Law from the University of Coimbra, and a post-graduate degree in Capital Markets from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV-SP).
His vast experience covers assistance to national and multinational companies in Brazil and Europe, including company management and shareholder representation on supervisory boards, boards of directors, and advisory boards of public and private equity firms.
Oswaldo Dalla Torre, in turn, will act in the areas of M&A and Corporate Governance, focusing on the mining, agribusiness, and technology industries. He has a law degree from Mackenzie University, a post-graduate degree in Corporate Finance from the same institution, a post-graduate degree in Corporate Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV-SP), and also an LL.M. in Natural Resources Law from CEPMLP (Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law & Policy) at the University of Dundee, UK.
Oswaldo is highly specialized in contracts and financing transactions, litigation and arbitration, having acted particularly in the United States, United Kingdom and Italy, prospecting and developing strategic partnerships and commercial contracts, project financing, and IPO processes in various industry sectors such as energy, mining and oil and gas.
