TozziniFreire Advogados launches cybersecurity and data privacy industry group
Brazilian law firm TozziniFreire Advogados has launched a new cybersecurity and data privacy industry group.
The group will assist clients in preserving the privacy of corporate information, including protection against espionage, and mitigating legal risks arising from using, publishing and storing data.
The firm said the group was created in response to high client demand for such services and also in preparation for the impending vote on the Personal Data Bill.
Both the Personal Data Bill and the Internet Bill of Rights, if passed, are widely expected to have a significant impact on privacy protection in Brazil.
The group includes eight partners from practice areas including information technology, compliance, dispute resolution, intellectual property and white-collar crime.
