Trench Rossi Watanabe advised Neoenergia on the sale of Geração Céu Azul (GCA) to EDF Brasil Holding (EDF) and STOA.
GCA holds a 70% stake in the concession to operate the Baixo Iguaçu Hydroelectric Power Plant, located on the Iguaçu River, with a minimum installed capacity of 350.20 MW, through the Baixo Iguaçu Entrepreneur Consortium, in which Copel Geração e Transmissão (Cope”) holds the remaining 30%. The operation is valued at BRL 1.43 billion.
Trench Rossi Watanabe was joined by partner José Roberto Martins (pictured) and associates Adam Milgrom and Matheus Soares Silva.
The transaction also involved the participation of Neoenergia’s in-house lawyers – Mariane Carvalho Medeiros, Thays Raposo and Alana Braz.
