Trench Rossi Watanabe announces new partner

Trench Rossi Watanabe has announced the hiring of Eduardo Herszkowicz (pictured) as a partner in the transactional group. The lawyer arrives to lead and develop the new investment funds, securitization and asset management area, as well as strengthening the capital markets group, following the strategy of constant growth of the transacional practice.

Eduardo has more than 20 years’ experience in the capital markets, advising investment banks, asset managers, multilateral institutions and companies that normally raise funds in the market, on structuring investment funds, carrying out public offerings of securities and analyzing complex issues involving CVM and ANBIMA regulations. He has an outstanding track record in receivables securitization structures, notably in the financial, real estate and agribusiness markets, as well as in estate and succession planning through investment funds.

After starting his career at Trench Rossi Watanabe as an M&A trainee, Eduardo was a foreign associate at Arnold & Porter in Washington, DC, and then joined Cescon Barrieu’s Capital Markets department a few months after it was founded. He was the partner responsible for creating and developing the firm’s structured funds and securitization practice.

The new partner has a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP) and an LL.M. from the University of Chicago Law School.

With this move, the firm now has 55 partners.
