Two firms act on GIC’s acquisition of 50% of Neonergia’s assets
Stocche Forbes advised Warrington Investment Pte. and Unique Power Fundo de Investimento em Participações Multiestratégia Responsabilidade Limitada, both affiliates of GIC, on the indirect acquisition by Unique Power of a 50% equity interest in Neoenergia Itabapoana Transmissão de Energia, held by Neoenergia.
The asset will be contributed by Neoenergia to Neoenergia Transmissão, a holding company currently co-controlled by Warrington and Neoenergia.
Upon completion of the transaction, Unique Power will join the shareholders’ agreement of Neoenergia Transmissão and will act in block with Warrington, and the combined stake of both GIC affiliates will remain at 50%. The transaction value was BRL 127,500,000.00.
