Two firms act on Softplan’s investment deal with General Atlantic

Machado Meyer Advogados advised Softplan and its shareholders on the signing of a share purchase and subscription agreement with General Atlantic, a global private equity and growth equity firm, advised by Pinheiro Neto Advogados.

The transaction involves primary and secondary contributions, which consolidate General Atlantic as a significant minority shareholder of Softplan.

The investment focuses on Softplan’s software unit for private clients, known as Starian. The business strategy is based on the creation of verticalized and specialized software ecosystems that offer complementary solutions with integrated management.

The primary investment funds will be directed toward strengthening existing solutions in the Civil Construction, Legal Intelligence, and Operational Efficiency segments. In addition, part of the capital will be used to accelerate Starian’s mergers and acquisitions strategy, expanding its presence in new high-potential markets.

Machado Meyer relied on led partners Gustavo Rugani do Couto e Silva (pictured left) and Elie Jaques Sherique (pictured center), with the participation of partner Fernando Colucci and attorneys Mariana Miranda Perecin, Wagner Eustaquio Duarte Junior, and Pedro Henrique Resende Pedroso.

Pinheiro Neto relied on partner Ricardo Binnie (pictured right) and attorneys João Vitor Crepaldi, Leonardo Duarte Moreira and Daniel Castilho.
