Two firms advise on public offering of CTEEP debentures

Machado Meyer Advogados advised CTEEP; Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown advised the coordinating banks – BTG Pactual, UBS Brasil Corretora de Câmbio, Títulos e Valores Mobiliários, XP Investimentos, Banco Itaú and Banco Votorantim – on the public offering of simple debentures by Companhia de Transmissão de Energia Elétrica Paulista (CTEEP), in the total amount of R$ 1.9 billion, aimed at the general investing public.

The funds raised will be granted to infrastructure projects owned by CTEEP and its subsidiaries, considered priorities by the Ministry of Mines and Energy. The debentures are classified as “green debentures”, as they have a positive social and environmental impact.

Machado Meyer was joined by partner Alberto Faro (pictured left), lawyers Alexandre Simões De Mello, Joao Pedro Martinelli de Gouvea and Pedro Perez Junqueira Sampaio Meirelles.

Tauil & Chequer had partners Luis Montes (pictured center) and Daniella Raigorodsky Monteiro (pictured right), and associates Camila Spinola, Giulianna Torelli and Marcella Castellano, all from the Banking and Finance practice.
