Two firms on the acquisition of Laboratório Canonne by Eurofarma

Stocche Forbes represented Eurofarma on the acquisition of Laboratório Canonne -(wich was represented by Mello Torres Advogados)-, a company that holds all assets, rights and obligations associated with the production and distribution of “Valda”, “Fixaderme”, “Practivar”, “Inove Calcio” and “Paravision” products.
The deal also involved the assignment of the brands related to the referred products by Gemar Gestão de Investimentos Financeiros, Marcas e Patentes to Eurofarma.

According to a document the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM), the pharmaceutical company disbursed around R$ 725 million in the acquisition.

Eurofarma operates in 20 countries in Latin America and is one of the largest companies of the national capital sector. It is the leader in prescriptions and second in generic drugs in Brazil.
