Two law firms advise on agreement between CESP and True
Lefosse advised Companhia Energética de São Paulo (CESP) and Auren Energia; Machado Meyer advised True Securitizadora entered into a credit assignment agreement, whereby CESP transferred, through the payment of an amount defined therein, to True Securitizadora certain credit rights held by CESP against the Brazilian Federal Government in an amount of up to R$ 4,398,264,637.20.
Following the assignment, True Securitizadora issued the 3rd issuance of simple, non-convertible, unsecured debentures, with total issuance in the amount of up to R$ 4,500,000,000.00 (which has been partially distributed, totaling the final amount of R$ 4,413,925,000.00), duly registered under CVM´s automatic rite, intended for professional investors, linked to the credit rights acquired by True Securitizadora from CESP, through the execution of the Credit Assignment Agreement.
