Uruguay’s Posadas adds two partners

Uruguayan law firm Posadas, Posadas & Vecino has added two partners, Diego Gamarra and Diego Cuenca, bringing the firm’s total to 17.

“It is clear that, in 2019, the firm’s development requires the taking of new steps, and we are creating the spaces for that, and we are very proud to have Diego Gamarra and Diego Cuenca as partners,” he added.

Diego Gamarra (pictured, left) is head of public law at the firm and is specialised in counselling in diverse sectors such as energy, forestry, the food industry, pharmaceuticals and telecommunications, among others.


He also has ample experience in corporate law, advising on M&As and project financing.

He is a graduate of the Universidad Católica del Uruguay, and has a PhD in constitutional law from from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid.
  
Diego Cuenca (pictured, below) has more than 14 years’ experience in the tax and accounting practice, serving local and international clients.

 He also has experience in large-scale projects funded with private capital and in M&As, having been involved in some of Uruguay’s largest transactions.
 
Diego Cuenca PosadasHe is a member of Uruguay’s Colegio de Contadores, Economistas y Administradores, and has an IFRS accountancy certificate issued by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
