Brazil Retail Fundo de Investimento em Participações Multiestratégia and its quotaholders (Brookfield Asset Management) sold, to a fund managed by Brasil Plural (Malls Brasil Plural Fundo de Investimento Imobiliário), shares representing 100% of the capital stock of Brasc Mad Shopping Centers S.A, which, through its subsidiary COMBRACENTER SHOPPING CENTERS LTDA., owns the properties that comprise the Madureira Shopping.
The closing of the transaction is subject to the fulfillment of certain conditions precedent standard for this type of transaction.
The transaction was valued at R$285 million and is the first step in Brookfield’s divestiture of the shopping center business in Brazil.
