Veirano announces new partner in the tax practice in Porto Alegre

Veirano Advogados announced the promotion of Fabio Basso Barichello (pictured) to partner, strengthening the tax practice in the Porto Alegre office.

The promotion reinforces Veirano’s presence in Rio Grande do Sul, a jurisdiction known for its complex regulatory environment, intense federative debates, and the economic relevance of sectors such as agribusiness, biofuels, technology, and heavy industry.

Fabio Basso Barichello is part of the Tax practice in the Porto Alegre office and has extensive experience in tax consulting and litigation, with a strong focus on administrative tax disputes. He advises national and international companies in the technology, telecommunications, oil and gas, petrochemical, mobility, retail, and food sectors, among others, particularly in cases before the Administrative Council of Tax Appeals (CARF).

Throughout his career, Fabio has been responsible for managing a significant portion of the tax litigation of some of Veirano’s key clients, especially in the technology and telecommunications industries. He also actively participates in clients’ tax committees, contributing to strategic discussions and decision-making on highly complex matters.
