Veirano starts 2025 with new partners and strengthened practices
Veirano Advogados has announced the promotion of Luiza Lemos (pictured left) and Priscilla Villa Nova (pictured right) as partners. The move bolsters the firm’s Labor Law and Dispute Resolution (Arbitration and Litigation) practices.
Luiza Lemos brings nearly 13 years of experience in labor law, specializing in strategic litigation and legal consulting for national and multinational companies in sectors such as mining, agribusiness, technology, and financial services.
Her work spans high-stakes cases involving senior executives, employment relationships, harassment, and corporate liability, as well as managing litigation portfolios with a focus on developing strong strategies. Luiza also provides consulting services on ESG, mergers and acquisitions, and workplace innovation, combining technical expertise with strategic insights to mitigate risks and create opportunities. Luiza is an active member of GETRAB-USP (Study Group on Contemporary Labor Law and Social Security at the University of São Paulo) and her qualifications include a Master degree in Constitutional Law at PUC-Rio, Post-graduation in Employment and Labor Law and Social Security Law at UERJ and extension course in Law at Yale University, Connecticut, USA.
Priscilla Villa Nova, who joined Veirano in 2018 after working at leading firms in São Paulo, has over 15 years of extensive experience in high-stakes litigation, mediation and arbitration. She has also worked in a renowned dispute resolution boutique in New York City. Throughout her career, Priscilla has successfully participated in numerous cases, including many negotiations and mediations, consistently resolving disputes efficiently and with a keen focus on her clients’ best interests.
Her qualifications include postgraduate degrees in civil procedure and arbitration from PUC-SP and FGV-SP, along with specialized coursework at The Hague Academy of International Law and Harvard Law School. She also holds an LL.M. in Corporate Law from Insper. Her diverse expertise enables her to represent clients across various sectors, including technology, financial services, and capital markets, in both domestic and international arbitration proceedings.
The promotions will take effect on January 1, setting an exciting tone for the new year, raising the firm to 91 partners. This move also reinforces Veirano’s commitment to advancing gender equality in leadership, in alignment with the “Movimento Elas Lideram 2030” initiative of the UN Global Compact, which promotes the inclusion of women in leadership positions across organizations.
