Viseu opens Compliance and Crisis Management Center

Viseu Advogados has opened its Compliance and Crisis Management Center. The Center acts holistically, quickly and efficiently in highly complex, critical and sensitive organizational operations, providing specialized and strategic support for regulatory and corporate governance challenges.

The Center brings together four of the firm’s partners, experienced professionals who complement each other in their areas of expertise:

  • Mareska Tiveron: Banking law and money laundering prevention
  • Carla Rahal: Financial and cybercrime
  • Leonardo Machado: Arbitration and forensic investigations
  • Antonielle Freitas: Data protection and digital law

The initiative, based on the ‘prevention’, ‘detection’ and ‘response’ pillars, brings security and integrity to businesses, reducing regulatory and reputational risks, promoting an ethical and transparent culture, improving investor and stakeholder confidence, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

With the Center, companies will be able to understand their specific needs and make informed decisions about their compliance processes, providing synergy between strategic areas, resulting in accurate diagnoses and practical solutions.

The services offered by the Nucleus include: development and implementation of compliance programs, internal investigations, due diligence, partner and third-party assessment, audits, regulatory compliance monitoring, strategic consulting and crisis management, aimed not only at meeting current regulatory requirements, but also at anticipating and mitigating potential future challenges for its clients.

Crisis management enables organizations to prepare for, respond to and recover from crises quickly and effectively by identifying risks, developing effective contingency and communication plans, coordinating responses, monitoring the situation, implementing recovery strategies, training and simulating crisis scenarios to improve future plans and procedures.
