VMCA has two new partners in the area of impact investing and third sector
Aline Viotto and Flávio Marques Prol come to join the Impact Business and Third Sector area (NITS)
Vinicius Marques de Carvalho Advogados (VMCA) has two new partners: Aline Viotto and Flávio Marques Prol. Both come to join the Impact Business and Third Sector area (NITS) of the firm, opened three years ago. Thus, the firm founded by the former president of CADE and professor at USP, Vinicius Marques de Carvalho, aims to further expand its practice, after substantial growth since the beginning of its activities, especially last year.
Aline and Flávio will be co-heads of the area, which is focused on advising civil society organizations, impact businesses and startups in the planning, legal formatting, execution and evaluation of strategic projects, including the development of privacy and data protection policies.
Aline, who has a Master in Economic Law from the Law School of the University of São Paulo (USP), joins VMCA after four years as advocacy coordinator of GIFE, a non-profit network that brings together organizations and companies that invest in projects with public purpose. Previously, she was head of the Technical Advisory Department of the Municipal Government Secretariat of São Paulo and senior lawyer at the São Paulo Cinema and Audiovisual Company (Spcine), and member of the board of directors of São Paulo Urbanismo (SP-Urbanismo). Her experience also includes having worked as a parliamentary advisor at the São Paulo City Council.
Flávio, who returns to VMCA, where he was an associate, holds a master’s and doctorate from the Law School of the University of São Paulo (USP) and was a visiting researcher at Harvard Law School and Yale University. Flávio worked for the last two years as coordinator at the Lemann Foundation. His previous experience also includes work at the Ministry of Justice, where he was Undersecretary of Planning, Budget and Administration and General Coordinator of Projects.
