White & Case adds Taisa Markus from Paul Hastings
White & Case announced that Taisa Markus, who has significant transactional experience in Latin America, has joined the firm in New York.
Markus handles securities offerings, cross-border bank finance and M&A, and general securities law matters with a focus on Latin America. She regularly represents financial institutions and issuers not only in the Latin American capital markets but the European capital markets as well.
John Vetterli, regional head of Americas capital markets at White & Case said in the announcement: “Regulatory changes and economic reforms in Latin America have attracted investors who have ample capital and an appetite to invest in some of the world’s leading emerging markets. The addition of Taisa reinforces our commitment to address the needs of our clients who are active in the region, as well as the outbound business needs of our Latin American corporate clients.”
Markus arrived from Paul Hastings, a law firm she joined in 2012.
Besides having offices in Mexico City and São Paulo, White & Case lawyers also conduct Latin America-related deals from New York, Miami, Washington, DC, Madrid and London.
