Womble Bond Dickinson forms alliance with Schmidt Valois
Womble Bond Dickinson announced the formation of a strategic alliance with the Brazilian law firm Schmidt, Valois, Miranda, Ferreira & Agel (Schmidt Valois).
Combining resources and expertise, the partnership will strengthen legal support for clients in several jurisdictions, especially in the energy and natural resources sector, where both firms share extensive experience.
The strategic alliance focuses on several key objectives, including expanding global reach through shared office branding, implementing joint marketing initiatives, business development and professional exchange.
The alliance will come into effect on April 1, 2025 and will be overseen by a leadership group made up of partners from both offices, approved by Merrick Benn, chairman and CEO of Womble USA, Paul Stewart, managing partner of Womble UK, and Paulo Valois Pires, managing partner of Schmidt Valois (pictured, left to right).
