Creel García-Cuéllar appoints two new partners for 2023
Mexican law firm Creel García-Cuéllar Aiza y Enríquez has announced the appointment of Sara Gutiérrez Ruiz de Chávez and Esteban Valadez Jiménez as new partners of the firm effective 1 January 2023.
Sara Gutiérrez Ruiz de Chávez (pictured left) joined the firm in 2018 as counsel in Mexico City. She holds a law degree from Universidad Anáhuac, and an LLM in Competition Law Economics from King’s College London. Prior to joining the firm, she was a senior associate at Basham Ringe y Correa. She focuses her practice on specialised administrative and constitutional litigation, including challenges to laws, policies and determinations, mainly in regulated sectors; as well as on antitrust matters, mainly in investigations for anti-competitive practices and other violations of the Federal Antitrust Law.
Esteban Valadez Jiménez (pictured right) joined the firm as an associate in 2006, and had the opportunity to work as an international associate for a year in the New York office of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom. He holds a law degree from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) and an LLM in Corporate Law from New York University. He specializes in Mergers and Acquisitions, Private Equity, Joint Ventures and complex real estate transactions. In addition, he advises sellers, buyers, financial, strategic, domestic and foreign investors.
