GO advises Carozzi on acquisition of Lecherías Loncomilla Limitada
Guerrero Olivos has advised Empresas Carozzi on the acquisition of Lecherías Loncomilla Limitada, a premium ice cream company.
This transaction was closed on 9 December for US$43 million, where Garrigues Chile acted as advisor to the seller, Mac Clure Lyon.
In addition, the transaction was structured in different stages, subject to several conditions precedent. Furthermore, authorisation was obtained from the Chilean Antitrust Office prior to closing.
As a result of this transaction, Carozzi will be able to consolidate its third market position and complement its current offering in the ice cream segment, a market Carozzi entered in 2020 with the acquisition of Bresler (advised by Guerrero Olivos).
Lecherías Loncomilla Limitada, founded in 1975, is dedicated to the production, marketing and distribution of ice cream for the premium segment, under the San Francisco brand.
GO’s team was led by partner Jorge Delpiano (pictured), with support from partners César Gálvez and Sebastián Abogabir, and associates Josefina Sánchez, Sebastián Devlahovich and Santiago Barros. Also participating were senior associates Tomás Garnham, Roberto Burgos and Tomás Rosemary, along with associates José Luis Castro, Catalina Melgarejo, Benjamín Sims, Antonia Ibarra, Rosario Díaz and Pablo Rioseco.
