Carey counsels Fluor on sale of AMECO to STRACON
Carey has counselled Fluor on the sale of AMECO Peru and AMECO Chile to STRACON Group, as part of the global divestiture of the mining mobile equipment rental and services business.
This transaction was closed on 13 March and involved the US and Peruvian jurisdictions, in addition to Chile. Baker & Botts and Zuzunaga Assereto & Zegarra Abogados also advised AMECO in the US and Peru, respectively, while Cuatrecasas acted as counsel to STRACON.
The transaction also marked the completion by Fluor of the divestment of AMECO’s business line, which had already included the sale of assets in Africa, the Caribbean, Mexico and North America.
Ray Palmer acted as in-house counsel to Fluor.
