PPU acts in CMPC bond issue
Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría has acted as Chilean counsel to representatives of the initial purchasers in the issuance, by Inversiones CMPC and guaranteed by Empresas CMPC, of USD $ 500,000,000 bonds at a rate of 6.125% per annum payable in 2033.
This transaction was closed on 20 June, with Cuatrecasas Chile acting as local counsel to CMPC, Davis Polk acting as NY counsel to the representatives of the initial purchasers, Sullivan & Cromwell LLP acting as NY counsel to CMPC, and Pinheiro Neto Advogados acting as Brazilian counsel to CMPC.
BofA Securities, J.P. Morgan Securities and Scotia Capital (USA) acted as representatives of the Initial Purchasers.
Cuatrecasas’ team comprised partners Macarena Ravinet and Rodrigo Stein, as well as lawyers Federico Espinosa, Álvaro Caviedes, José Miguel Gazitúa and Josefa Rendón.
