TozziniFreire advises Carrefour on sale and leaseback with Barzel
TozziniFreire advised Carrefour Brasil on the sale and leaseback transaction of 4 distribution centers located in the cities of Osasco/SP, Jacareí/SP, Salvador/BA and Jaboatão dos Guararapes/PE, and 5 stores owned by the company and its subsidiaries ocated in the cities of Jacareí/SP, Guarulhos/SP, Santo André/ SP, Jandira/SP and Pinhais/PR, to Barzel Log Fundo de Investimento Imobiliário, and Barzel Retail II Fundo de Investimento Imobiliário, which was advised by Tauil & Chequer Advogados.
The transaction in the total amount of BRL 1,2 billion was submitted and approved by CADE – Administrative Council of Economic Defense (initially through a summary procedure that further was transformed into an ordrinary procedure).
J. Safra Invesment Bank served as the sole financial advisor of the company.
