Cuatrecasas in Sabadell’s loan to Energía Real

Cuatrecasas, through its Mexico City office, has advised Banco Sabadell on the granting of a credit line to Energía Real, a company belonging to the Riverstone portfolio in Mexico, for the construction, development and operation of various distributed generation projects in the country, for an amount of 250 million pesos.

The financing has the usual guarantees for this type of operation. In addition, the loan is part of a strategic financing plan of up to 1.5 billion pesos to be executed over the next twelve months, which will allow Energía Real to leverage part of its current operating portfolio, diversify its funding sources and confirm the success and strength of its business model.

Energía Real currently has 80MW sold, of which more than 60MW are operational and the rest are under construction.
