Carey represents Frutura in acquisition of Giddings Fruit
Carey has represented Frutura, a US-based global fresh fruit sales and marketing network, in the acquisition of Giddings Fruit, a berry and cherry supply company with operations in Chile, Mexico, Peru and the US.
This transaction was signed on 11 May and involved the jurisdictions of Chile, USA, Mexico, Peru, UK and China. Other participating firms were DLA Piper as counsel to Giddings Fruit in Chile; and Payet Rey Cauvi Pérez Abogados (PRCP), Ibarra del Paso y Gallego, and Proskauer Rose as counsel to Frutura in Peru, Mexico and the US (Los Angeles), respectively.
DLA Piper’s team consisted of partners Matías Zegers and Jorge Timmermann together with associate Vicente Sáenz.
PRCP’s team included partners Juan José Cauvi and Alfredo Chan, and associate Guillermo Arribas.
Ibarra’s Paso Gallego team was represented by partner Carlos Ibarra, and associates Patrick Stockdale and José Mejía.
