Veirano presents a new partner in the tax & customs practice
With 20 years of experience in tax law, Matheus Bertolo Piconez (pictured) is the new partner of Veirano Advogados.
Working from the Rio de Janeiro office, he will assist with complex tax law issues, ensuring the quality of personalized service to guarantee legal security in tax matters for the office clients.
Matheus has expertise in cross-border transactions – fiscal aspects of international tax law, preparation of tax opinions in real estate, telecommunications, passenger transport and logistics, cosmetics industry, software and technology companies, oil and gas, entertainment industry, financial and insurance institutions.
The new partner also works on analyzing treaties and transfer pricing rules, tax issues in company restructuring and reorganization operations (mergers and acquisitions), and analysis of various tax issues involving individuals and legal entities, in addition to risk assessment tax in audits.
Matheus arrives at Veirano Advogados after a career that includes working in large national and international firms. He is currently professor at Ibmec and has published several articles and essays in specialized publications.
With his arrival, Veirano now has 91 partners, and the tax team has 44 professionals, including partners, associates, consultants, and lawyers.
