Pinheiro Guimarães announces new partners, strengthening areas

Pinheiro Guimarães announced the promotion of two lawyers to its partnership, enhancing the firm’s capabilities in the Capital Markets and the Litigation & Arbitration areas of practice. The newly appointed partners, Fernando John Friedmann Junior (pictured left) and Daniel Rodrigo Ito Shingai (pictured right), are both based in São Paulo.

Fernando John Friedmann Junior has been an integral part of the firm since 2017, specializing in capital markets mandates, including both equity and debt offerings. Fernando holds an LLB from Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas (2011) and an LLM from IE Law School in Spain (2021). He also gained international experience as a foreign associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York (2021-2022).

Daniel Rodrigo Ito Shingai specializes in complex litigation and arbitration procedures and has been with Pinheiro Guimarães since 2017. He earned his LLB from the University of São Paulo Law School (2009) and his LLM in Civil Law from the same institution (2018). Daniel is also a respected academic, serving as a professor in postgraduate courses in Business Law, Contract
Law, and Civil Procedure at the Getulio Vargas Foundation Law School. He has also been an Assistant Professor in the Bachelor of Laws program at PUC/SP, focusing on Private Law – Corporate (2018-2020).
