Basham assists Grupo Carso on acquisition in Talos
Basham Ringe y Correa has assisted Grupo Carso in the acquisition of an additional 30.10% interest in Talos Mexico, a subsidiary of Talos Energy, which holds a 17.4% interest in the Zama Field.
Through this transaction, Grupo Carso continues to consolidate its participation in the hydrocarbon extraction sector in Mexico, increasing its participation in the Zama Field and adding to the acquisition of PetroBal consummated in the second quarter of this year.
The closing of the transaction is subject to the approval of the Mexican Federal Economic Competition Commission (COFECE) and the National Hydrocarbons Commission (CNH). Carso and Talos are working closely with the regulatory authorities in order to obtain all necessary authorizations.
