Martínez, Quintero & De La Rosa advises Montajes JM on Guachiría Sur stake sale
Colombian law firm Martínez, Quintero, Mendoza, González, Laguado & De La Rosa has represented Montajes JM in the sale of a 60% participating interest in the Guachiría Sur Exploration and Production (E&P) contract to Petróleos Colombianos.
The transaction, valued at USD 8.5 million, remains subject to approval by Colombia’s National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH). Following completion, Montajes JM will retain its role as operator of the block, ensuring operational continuity in one of Colombia’s strategic oil and gas regions.
This deal, which ran from June to October 2025, highlights activity and portfolio optimization within Colombia’s oil and gas sector, as local companies seek strategic partnerships to strengthen production capacity and operational efficiency.
