Two firms on the acquisition of Bold Snacks by Ferrero International

Cescon Barrieu and Pinheiro Neto advised on the transaction involved the acquisition of Bold Snacks by Ferrero International, representing a strategic expansion into the better-for-you and functional snacks segment.

The transaction is notable for marking Ferrero’s first entry into the “Better-for-You” segment in South America, in line with its global strategy to expand into higher value-added categories aligned with health and wellness consumption trends. The acquisition of Bold Snacks — a leading Brazilian premium protein snacks company with strong growth since inception and a prominent position in the protein bar segment — also reflects a competitive process, with the asset attracting interest from financial investors and global strategic players in the sector.
