GMPR announces admission of a new partner
GMPR announced the arrival of Marina Godoy da Cunha Alves (pictured), who joins the firm as a partner in the corporate, mining and agribusiness practices.
With more than 28 years of experience as a lawyer in large national and multinational companies, Marina has a solid track record across the mining, steel, retail and agribusiness sectors, in addition to having built her career around the structuring and enhancement of governance, risk management, integrity and ESG practices.
The new partner also brings extensive experience in high-complexity strategic matters, including corporate restructurings, judicial reorganization proceedings, corporate reorganizations, M&A transactions and initial public offerings (IPOs), with an integrated perspective on legal, regulatory and reputational impacts.
Her professional background also includes roles at organizations such as AgroGalaxy Participações, Brascan Agri, Vale, Usiminas, Vallourec do Brasil and FIEMG. Marina, who also has a strong focus on sustainability and long-term business continuity, states that this new professional chapter represents an opportunity to approach legal practice from a different perspective.
