Lara Martins Advogados strengthens its labor law practice

Lara Martins Advogados has added former labor judge Platon Teixeira de Azevedo Neto (pictured) to its team, in a move that strengthens a strategic area of practice: labor law.

Platon is stepping down from his position as presiding judge of the 8th Labor Court of Goiânia (Regional Labor Court of the 18th Region), following a career also marked by institutional and academic work. He served as an assistant judge on the Board of the National School for the Training and Improvement of Labor Magistrates (ENAMAT) and is an adjunct professor of Labor Procedural Law at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG).

Holding a Ph.D. in Law from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and a master’s degree in Human Rights from UFG, the attorney has also played a prominent role in professional associations, such as serving as president of the Association of Labor Magistrates of the 18th Region (Amatra 18) and the Goiás Institute of Labor Law (IGT). He is currently a member of the Brazilian Academy of Labor Law and the Goiás Academy of Law.
