Skadden advises Fibra SOMA on $800M bond

Fibra SOMA, a Mexican real estate investment trust (FIBRA), has returned to international capital markets with the issuance of US$800 million in unsecured senior notes due 2036. The proceeds will be used primarily to refinance existing debt, including bank loans. Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom acted as legal counsel to Fibra SOMA on the transaction.

The Skadden team was led by Capital Markets partner Alejandro González Lazzeri, alongside counsel Alejandro Ascencio Lucio (London), associate Monica Perez-Banuet Farell and international visiting professional Camila Evangelista. Tax support was provided by partner Nazmiye Gökçebay and associate Douglas Bresnick.
