Prado Santarossa launches in São Paulo

Four partners — Lucilene Prado, Irina Santarossa, Breno Bassoli, and Matheus Fornazari — have founded Prado Santarossa, a boutique law firm headquartered in São Paulo. The firm is built on more than a decade of professional history shared among its founders and is structured to serve domestic and foreign companies of varying sizes and sectors, including cross-border operations.

The firm’s practice is anchored in tax law, with additional coverage in real estate and third-sector matters. Its approach connects legal, operational, financial, and strategic dimensions, with a stated emphasis on risk management and the concrete business impact of legal decisions.

Lucilene Prado brings over 33 years of experience in tax and corporate law, including senior in-house roles at Alpargatas and Natura, where she served as Legal Director. She has also held positions as a board member and audit and risk committee consultant, and teaches at Insper and other institutions.

Irina Santarossa has nearly 20 years of experience in corporate and tax law, covering both advisory and strategic litigation matters, as well as issues related to Brazil’s ongoing tax reform. She holds an MBA in Finance from Insper and a specialization in Tax Law from IBET, and previously taught at Link School of Business. She spent more than 17 years as a partner at a boutique law firm.

Breno Bassoli spent over 10 years at a boutique law firm and served as an assistant professor at Link School of Business. His practice focuses on tax consulting across multiple sectors, with nearly a decade of involvement in tax reform matters, particularly assessing business impacts and advising clients during legislative discussions. He holds a specialization in Tax Law from IBET.

Matheus Fornazari has over 10 years of experience in tax consulting and both judicial and administrative tax litigation. His background includes work in the strategy and knowledge division of a Big Four firm and at law firms. He holds degrees in Law and Accounting, postgraduate qualifications in Civil Procedural Law and Corporate Law, Capital Markets and New Technologies, and an LL.M in Tax Law and Procedure.
