Licks Attorneys names Gabriel Keller partner

Licks Attorneys has announced the return of Gabriel Keller to the firm, this time as a partner. The move adds a lawyer with a background in complex intellectual property disputes to the firm’s partnership, combining academic training with experience in strategic contentious matters and appearances before higher courts.

Keller holds a law degree from Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) and is a specialist in Intellectual Property from the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) in Strasbourg. He also holds a Certificate in Political Studies from Sciences Po Lyon, both in France. In 2023, he completed a master’s degree in Business Law at UERJ, with research focused on patent law.

His association with Licks Attorneys began in 2017, when he joined the firm as an intern. Between 2019 and 2024, he worked as an associate at the firm, concentrating his practice on high-complexity litigation involving patent infringement and invalidity, as well as disputes related to industrial designs, trademarks and unfair competition.

During his career, Keller also served as an advisor to the Vice-Presidency of the Federal Regional Court of the 2nd Region (TRF-2), assisting in the analysis of appeals directed to the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) and the Federal Supreme Court (STF).
