KLA has a new partner
KLA has appointed Mauricio Veiga as a new partner, reinforcing its Corporate, M&A and Infrastructure practices. Veiga joins the firm after nearly 12 years advising Brazilian and foreign clients on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions, representing investment funds, multinational companies and financial institutions.
Veiga also works on infrastructure projects in Brazil across structuring, implementation and operational phases, with a focus on the energy sector, including distributed generation and self-production of energy projects.
Before joining KLA, Veiga worked at other firms in the Brazilian legal market, where he gained experience in large-scale, complex transactions. He holds a law degree from Fundação Getulio Vargas and a Master of Science in Decision Making and Applied Analytics from Minerva University in San Francisco, where his thesis focused on the valuation of artificial intelligence companies by venture capital funds. He also completed an exchange program in International Business Law at Tilburg University in the Netherlands.
