Cescon Barrieu adds a new partner
Brazilian law firm Cescon Barrieu has announced the arrival of Julia Santoro as a partner in its insurance practice, joined by a team of three lawyers. The move is part of a broader expansion strategy that has already seen the firm add 19 partners across key practices in 2026, bringing its partnership to 85 lawyers.
Julia Santoro brings more than two decades of experience in regulatory, corporate and transactional work in the insurance sector. Her practice covers the structuring and licensing of insurers, reinsurers, brokers and insurtechs, as well as M&A, product development, distribution, reinsurance and retrocession, complex claims regulation and innovation projects.
The insurance team will operate in direct coordination with Cescon Barrieu’s Financial Services, Infrastructure, Technology, Corporate, M&A and Litigation practices, expanding the firm’s capacity to handle multidisciplinary mandates end to end.
