Álvarez acts in bidding for RED Región Metropolitana
Álvarez Abogados has acted as counsel of CONSORCIO CONECTA, composed of Buses Hualpén, a subsidiary of Empresa de Servicios Hualpén Limitada, in the award of Service Units N°17 and N°18 in the RED Región Metropolitana tender.
The award was made on 23 September, for a period of 10 years of Service Units N°17 and N°18 in the tender for the provision of Urban Public Transport Services by Buses for the Metropolitan Public Transport System, convened by the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications of Chile.
Approximately 1000 buses will be used for both Service Units, of which 500 will be new electric buses and the rest will be transferred from previous operators. Both services will transport approximately 210,000 passengers daily from the municipalities of Huechuraba, Conchalí, Independencia, Recoleta, Santiago, San Miguel, Pedro Aguirre Cerda, San Joaquín, La Cisterna, San Ramón, El Bosque, La Pintana, San Bernardo, Puente Alto, La Granja, La Florida and Macul.
The consultancy involved support in the process of formation of the consortium and in the preparation of the documentation related to the technical and economic offers submitted for the tender; the negotiation and drafting of contracts with bus and electric charging infrastructure suppliers, respective financing and other ancillary contracts.
