Arias promotes Ivón Hernández as new partner
Arias Law has announced the appointment of Ivón Hernández (pictured), head of Intellectual Property in Guatemala, as a new partner.
Ivón Hernández has more than fifteen years of experience in the Intellectual Property practice, being a highly recognised lawyer in Guatemala and abroad. She joined the firm in 2014.
Her practice focuses on matters related to trademarks, geographical indications, patents, copyrights, intellectual property legal audits, advertising, data protection and consumer protection. In addition, she has extensive experience in civil and criminal IP litigation, including anti-piracy actions.
Ivón is an active member of the Interamerican Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI), the International Trademark Association (INTA) in the Unfair Competition Committee, the Intellectual Property Committee of the Guatemalan Chamber of Intellectual Property (CAMPI) and the Intellectual Property Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Guatemala (AMCHAM).
