ARIFA in Crédit Agricole CIB refinancing in favour of McDermott International

Panamanian law firm Arias Fábrega & Fábrega has advised Crédit Agricole CIB on the refinancing of approximately USD $2.6 billion of documentary credits and term loans in favour of McDermott International, a global engineering and construction company.

The refinancing was carried out through a cross-border restructuring process and was secured by certain assets, including Panamanian-registered vessels, for amounts up to USD $9.5 billion.

The consultancy involved drafting and negotiation, closing logistics and refinement of the Panama deliverables.
