B&E advises on merger of Derco and Inchcape

Barros & Errázuriz has advised the Del Río family on the deal to combine Derco with Inchcape plc in a transaction estimated at $1.57 billion USD.

The transaction is subject to approval by regulatory authorities in Chile, Peru and Colombia.

Grupo Derco, based in Santiago, Chile, is an independent automotive distributor with long-standing partnerships with global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) such as Suzuki, Mazda and Renault, with operations in Chile, Bolivia, Peru and Colombia.

B&E’s team was led by partner Pablo Guerrero (pictured), with support from partner Lucas Marinovic and associates Daniela Tumani, Juan Ignacio Basagoitia and Sofía Schiacapasse.
