Bichara advises Hochschild Mining and Amarillo Mineração
Bichara Advogados advised Hochschild Mining PLC and its Brazilian subsidiary Amarillo Mineração do Brasil on the acquisition of the Monte do Carmo Gold Project through the full acquisition of Cerrado Gold‘s equity in Serra Alta Mineração for a total amount of USD 60 million.
The transaction involved the creation of security interests over certain assets of Monte do Carmo Gold Project, to secure obligations under certain stream agreement entered with subsidiaries of Sprott Inc.
The case was led by partner Filipe Cunha (pictured), associates Ricardo Sassi, Letícia Vieira and Pedro Augusto Pires.
Clarissa Brandão was the lead attorney for Amarillo.
Stikeman Elliot LLP (Canada) and Linklaters (UK) also advised Hochschild and Amarillo on the transaction.
