Bichara Advogados advises Banco Nacional
Bichara Advogados advised Banco Nacional in the process that resulted in the lifting of the bank’s out-of-court liquidation regime, which had lasted since 1996.
The financial institution was one of the country’s leading private sector banks in the 80s and early 90s.
The firm acted in the process of rescuing the bank, which included an increase in private capital of approximately R$1.5 billion, allowing its liabilities to be settled.
The closure of the out-of-court liquidation, authorized by the Central Bank, also enabled the closing of an agreement for the sale of control of Banco Nacional, signed between the former controllers and Banco BTG Pactual, according to a material fact disclosed on August 15, 2024.
The firm’s team was led by partner Luiz Henrique Vieira, (pictured left) consultant Caetano de Vasconcellos Neto (pictured right) and associates Ricardo Sassi and Letícia Gomes Vieira.
