BKM and Gross Brown advise on $30m financing for Rutas del Este
BKM Berkemeyer has advised Rutas del Este on a financing in its favour for the development of a construction project. The loan was granted by Banco Sudameris, advised by Gross Brown.
This transaction was closed on 6 September, where Rutas del Este received the loan in the amount of US$29,800,000.
The funds will be used to finance the additional work on Route PY02 “Nueva Variante Itacurubí de la Cordillera”, and the maintenance and operation of national routes N° 2 and 7.
This is the first public-private partnership project in Paraguay and the first financing obtained by Rutas del Este.
Juan Guiñazú and Sofía Suárez acted as in-house counsel for Rutas del Este.
BKM’s team included partners Martin Carlevaro (pictured left) and Manuel Arias (pictured centre) as well as senior associates Adriana Ocampos and Álvaro Rojas.
Gross Brown’s team was led by partner Sigfrido Gross-Brown (pictured right), and comprised senior associate Pablo A. Debuchy Boselli and associate Kamila Giménez.
